For me, these dualities do not oppose one another: they reveal each other.
Imperfection is Perfection: I do not seek an artificial or smooth perfection. True visual perfection lies in the organic imperfection of nature, in what is living, raw, and authentic. It is this natural ‘flaw’ that makes the work perfect in my eyes.
Intuition at the Service of Precision: My process is not a blind letting-go. I use a guided, almost surgical intuition to sculpt a specific emotion with precision. Intuition is the tool; the precision of the feeling is the goal.
Depth and Brilliance are Inseparable: I paint the depth of souls and the complexity of emotions, but I reveal them through the ephemeral brilliance of a moment in life. Whether in the gaze of an animal or the expression of a human, I capture that magical spark that illuminates tangible reality.
Magic Anchored in the Real: The magic of my work is not an escape from the world, but a sense of wonder at the heart of the world. I use the concrete paint, canvas, physical matter to bring forth the invisible magic I carry within me. The material becomes the portal to the immaterial.
