🌞 Good afternoon, everyone! ❤️

It's been a productive day over here!

I finished up the yard work, and now I'm tackling laundry. Today is one of those deep-cleaning days—towels, dish cloths, mop heads... all the things that don't always get the attention they deserve. 🧺🫧

For lunch, I kept it simple but delicious: seasoned ground beef with Brussels sprouts and onions. If you know me, you know I love my seasonings! 😋

Now I'm just waiting for the next load of laundry, and then I'm heading for the pool to cool off. ☀️🏊‍♀️

I think we've only got about three or four more swimming days left before the weather changes. The forecast is calling for cooler temperatures and rain later this week, so Wednesday might be the day I finally take the pool down for the season.

I can't believe summer is already winding down! 🍂

Well, I finally managed to get some sleep! 😅

A friend shared this picture with me, and I thought it was too beautiful not to share with all of you.

From what I was told, it was taken in Quesnel, BC, although I can't confirm that for sure.

At first glance, it almost looks like a giant pink rainbow disappearing into the clouds. 🌈 The colours are incredible, and it definitely caught my attention.

So now I'm curious...

What do you think you're seeing? A rainbow? A weather phenomenon? Something else entirely?

I'd love to hear your thoughts and theories! Sometimes it's fun to see how many different ideas one photo can inspire.

☀️ Good morning and Happy Sunday! ❤️

Today's teaching is a simple one...

Walk in a good way. 🌿

One of the teachings I try to carry with me every day is that the energy we bring into the world has a way of finding its way back to us.

If we choose kindness, we plant kindness.

If we choose patience, we plant patience.

If we choose gratitude, we begin to see more things to be grateful for.

That doesn't mean every day will be easy, but it does mean we get to choose how we walk through it.

As my Elders have taught me, every day is another opportunity to learn, to grow, to help someone else, and to leave the world just a little better than we found it.

So today, smile at someone. Offer a kind word. Help where you can. Spend a few moments outside with the land, and don't forget to give thanks for another day.

I hope your Sunday is filled with peace, laughter, and beautiful moments with the people you love.

Just me and Ember winding down for the night. 🐾❤️

It's been a long couple of days, and I think we're both ready for some much-needed sleep.

Tomorrow's plan is pretty simple—if the weather isn't too hot, I'm hoping to do a good deep clean and rearrange a few things around the house. If it is another scorcher, we'll probably be hiding inside where it's nice and cool.

Sometimes the quiet weekends are the best ones.

🌙 Evening check-in. ❤️

We're finally home, and I wanted to give everyone a little update.

The good news is we have some answers.

It turns out he has an ear infection, most likely swimmer's ear from all the time we've been spending in the pool. They also found a little leaf in his ear, which definitely didn't help!

His headaches are under control now, and we came home with antibiotic ear drops to help clear up the infection.

Needless to say, it's been a long couple of days, but I'm incredibly relieved that we finally have an answer and a treatment plan.

Thank you so much to everyone who kept my little guy in your thoughts and prayers today. Your kindness and support truly mean the world to us.

Tonight, we're taking it easy, getting lots of rest, and hoping tomorrow is a much better day.

☀️ Good morning, everyone. ❤️

Last night was a long one.

My son and I spent the night in the emergency room because he's been having severe headaches. They gave him Tylenol and Advil and had us wait for about an hour to see if they would help.

They didn't.

He was still crying, still holding his head, and still in pain when we were discharged.

We came home, got a little sleep, but he just woke up again crying because his head hurts.

As a mom, that's heartbreaking to watch.

He is not a child who complains about being sick. He rarely gets sick at all, so seeing him in this much pain has me very worried.

We're heading back to the hospital for a second opinion. This time, I'm going to be asking for further testing because I don't feel comfortable leaving it at "it's just a headache" without looking into what's causing it.

Please keep my little guy in your thoughts or prayers today. I would really appreciate it.

I'm hoping it's something simple and treatable, but right now my mama heart is hurting.
