In honour of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, you are invited to join us for a meaningful gathering of community, crafting, and reflection as we walk the path of learning and healing together.
Textile arts have always been a space for storytelling and connection. We will host a knitting circle (all fiber crafts are welcome!) where we can keep our hands busy while we open our hearts to local Indigenous voices.
Join us on Wednesday, September 30th from 11:00 AM – 1:30 PM, at the shop (6565 Hart Highway, right beside Fabricland.)
Please wear an orange shirt to honor residential school survivors and remember the children who never made it home.
We will be streaming "Stories of Hope and Strength," a powerful short film series produced locally by Northern BC’s own Carrier Sekani Family Services. These short films focus on healing, empowerment, and reclaiming safety in our region. Because they are shorts, we will have plenty of time to pause, knit, and chat.
This gathering will be a potluck-style lunch. If you are able, please bring a dish of something snacky- nothing too elaborate or hard to eat while we craft, (and serving utensils if necessary - I’ll supply plates and napkins.) to share with the group! Comment below with what you'd like to bring so we don’t all bring the same thing 🥰
