Meet Dave Milne, an amazing member of our Super Seniors 90+! 

Dave joined the Northern Sport Centre more than 12 years ago and has always believed in making a healthy lifestyle part of both his personal and professional life.

And does he ever keeps moving! Dave walks twice a day on our track, rides the bike for 20 minutes and walks two laps around UNBC Ring Road.

His advice is simple:
“Be consistent on your exercising. I come here to enjoy it, it is not a chore.”

So, what keeps him coming back?
“I just love the atmosphere, I enjoy meeting the people!”

Dave says we’re fortunate to have a facility of this calibre in our city, and we feel fortunate to have members like Dave as part of our community!

Here’s to staying active, enjoying it and continuing to move at every age!

Super Senior 90+: Ray Bell

Meet Ray Bell, one of our incredible Super Seniors 90+ at the Northern Sport Centre! 

Ray has been part of the NSC community since we first opened!
 
Over the years, he has participated in our Active Ageing classes, with instructors adapting their programs to help him continue doing what he enjoys.

From soccer and rugby in his younger years to walking, cycling and fitness classes today, staying active has always been an important part of Ray’s life.

His advice to others?
“Be as active as possible and enjoy the pleasure of being able to participate at whatever physical activity suits your needs.”

For Ray, the NSC is about the people. Some of his favourite memories are the wonderful people he’s met who enjoy doing the same things.

We’re so happy to celebrate Ray and the many years he has been part of our NSC community!

One of our long time members moved to Vancouver! Some of the team, and a whole lot of friends joined Surjit at 6am to climb the cutbanks! Thanks for all the memories Surjit! We’ll miss you!
