Just want to say thanks again everyone who came down to the booth and supported ❤️
We both enjoy reuniting everyone with something from their childhood or finding a new treasures for your latest obsession 😍
I will work on updating this page more frequently with things and current stock, some things we like to save for the show, however if you are looking for something or talked to one of us about something specific, a reminder in the comments below always helps 🤷🏼♂️
These are the things we are going to change/improve…
-Larger shopping space
Over time we have built up a fair amount of customers that return year after year (that’s you) and because we enjoy catching up & seeing all of you, we will be trying to expand the space so there is more space to browse/move around/chat after your purchase. There are multiple choke points where customers are encouraged to “dig” or browse in a bin and these things do take time and we have acknowledged that. As time has went on we have created better and better (and fuller) $5 and $10 bins, so we humbly apologize for it being so cramped this time along with the bulk cards, so we will be trying to pre-plan a layout ahead of time so it is functional, and also allow you to browse/“dig” at your own pace. Sometimes those treasure are buried deep, so we want to give you the time.
-Video Gaming
We will be working to try and get more merchandise/consoles/games for you to browse next show. We have acknowledged Japanese games aren’t really everyone’s jam, so we will be trying to find some good English lots, though those (with any vintage gaming) are getting harder and harder to find every year, and getting them at a price where we can pass along the savings to you as well. Sadly the economy isn’t getting any better so buying anything at top dollar we would have to charge close to market price without taking a loss. As always we try to get you prices that are better than online so you get some value from coming to the expo when you visit us.
-Stuffies/Plush
We love how many new friends everyone walks away with at a fair. It always surprises me how popular plush is, but it’s a nightmare to try and control for display. We do like when you can touch/feel/show mum whatever it is you’re looking at, so we will try and work on a plush solution. We will try to keep them at the flat $10 rate, though most days lately even a thrift store/walmart will charge 9.99 (or more 🫠) for a plush/stuffie so better then retail prices is pretty tough to keep on point with. We like the amount of plush and the variety we have vs any other of the vendors, so we will be working for a solution so you can dig and browse a large variety of affordable, licensed plush just as you have been able to with every other past Toy Expo 🙂
-Shirts/Clothing
If you spied the cross stitch Charizard shoes by our CRT TV (if you didn’t, see below) then you’ll have some idea on what shirts/hoodies might look like. I will be not bringing any brand name clothing this point forward; if there is room at the next show it will be considered as always, but only a few people found a shirt that they wanted to take home. Corey will be trying to do some shirts/hoodies in the coming future in cross stitch, probably the most likely candidates (Pikachu, Gengar, Charmander, Eevee etc) if there’s a random Pokémon you’d like to see, or you’d like to help test out wearing one for my own personal information (washing, wear, feel, if the fabric hangs due to weight, durability day to day etc) please reach out via message, most likely there will be some previews of the first test runs, so if your following and see this gigantic story in your feed, you will see everything else moving forward as well 👍
-Waifu cards 💃
The demand is real! Waifu cards will be back at the next show, I will get on ordering some decent ones with licensed characters, we were asked more then once for them, and the dragon grants your wish! 🐉
-Magic the Gathering Bulk
The demand for Magic was about the same as YuGiOh the year prior, so we will most likely be not doing magic bulk and going forward with Pokémon at this point, we do still have all the bulk (and more) MTG from the fair, if you were interested in any of them we can most likely come to an arrangement if you contact us…
-Japanese Pokémon Cards
151 boxes are starting to get up there in price so I’m not sure if I’ll be ordering that set for the next fair, I may take the gamble on the higher price point per pack, but I do try to meet or be slightly below market on packs so that your not being gouged and enjoying the hobby 🙂 TBA
-Japanese Vintage Pokémon
The vintage base set & 151 is always sentimentally nostalgic to me personally so I will be trying to get in more played Japanese vintage. These cards are played but I will try to work with you on the prices, but it gives us somewhere to start. 🤷🏼♂️
-English Pokemon Perfect Order will be stashed until the next show, so most likely will be out of print or near it by the time the next fair hits.
And if there’s anything your looking for specific(local or Japan import) please reach out via message or comment below as above; I will try and track down some of the things I was requested, but as you can imagine many people come through looking for that one thing, so if you could remind me on what you were after, we can work on getting it for the next fair (or before then!)
