The Hawkins Sound Ranch

Derek Joyce Music has some important news to share below. His album was recorded over the course of almost a year at The The Hawkins Sound Ranch. It was tracked and mixed in our studio. Very proud of this body of work. Derek worked his butt off on this and was uncompromising in his vision. It definitely paid off. - Corey

Last 3 channels of the master bus section. They're the most complicated and have the most capacitors & OpAmps compared to the 30 input modules or channels are a lot less cumbersome. This going by faster than I anticipated.

Throwing it back to 1983 and the legendary Series 80B console! 🎛️🎚️

The console pictured here once belonged to the equally legendary Frank Zappa but has now found a new home at The Hawkins Sound Ranch in Prince George 🇨🇦

I've got a channel strip down to 2 hours completed. Super happy with the results so far.

One strip has taken me just under 5 hours to Recap & upgrade the OpAmps. I made two mistakes. Corrected them. I've never soldered anything this intricate before, I believe I'm getting the hang of it.

1 down, 39 more to go....
