📣 This May, the John V. Hicks Gallery is turning into the studio of Gabriela Garcia-Luna! 📣
From May 1st to 23rd, the John V. Hicks Gallery at the Margo Fournier Arts Centre will be transformed into Gabriela's site for research, exploration, and art-making.
🌷 Gabriela García-Luna is a photo-based multimedia artist born in Mexico City and based in Treaty Six Territory (Saskatoon). She uses a combination of mediums to blur the limits between photography, digital work, printmaking, drawing, and installation.
We invite you to attend the following activities with Gabriela at the John V. Hicks Gallery:
✨ Artist Talk - Thursday April 30th at 7:00 PM ✨
Get to know Gabriela! In this artist talk and presentation, Gabriela will dive into the evolution of her practice in Mexico, India, and Saskatchewan.
✨ Free cyanotype workshops with Gabriela ✨

This residency will culminate in an exhibition of Gabriela's work at the John V. Hicks Gallery from June 1st to 23rd, 2026.
On Thursday June 4th at 7:00 PM, Gabriela will give a talk to reflect on the residency and speak about the exhibition.
This residency and exhibition is curated by Jesse Campbell, with support from the Prince Albert Council for the Arts, the Northern Lights Community Development Corporation, the Margo Fournier Arts Centre, and the City of Prince Albert.
