TOMORROW - COMPANY OF FOOLS COMES TO THE FESTIVAL!
FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY!
âWild, witty, clever, goofyâŚand slightly madâ are common adjectives used to describe Ottawaâs one and only A Company of Fools. Delighting local audiences with their whimsical blend of clown, mask and puppet theatre, âThe Foolsâ have been performing Shakespearean works in Ottawaâs outdoor spaces for over 20 years. Inspired by the rogue Elizabethan players that once entertained out of doors and in the Globe Theatre, A Company of Fools produces innovative, interactive and accessible theatre for all audiences.
After a long association between our two companies, we are delighted to welcome the âFoolsâ to our season. On Tuesday July 26th, Company of Fools will present The Tempest for one night only. The Tempest was our very first production staged in the amphitheatre, 20 years ago.
A shipwreck. A deserted island. A man with a 12-year-old grudge. Betrayal. Revenge. Magic. And a little bit of power imbalance thrown in for good measure.
