I grew up 2 km from ‘The Grand’ in Waterloo. Little did I know the impact it would have as a future ‘explorer’ and late-blooming artist., From playing along the river to ‘real’ canoeing on the Grand and beyond, this type of adventure became a near-annual addiction, spanning over 40 years...

I started this painting way back around when I started painting (4-ish years ago). So I decided to attempt to finish it but my underlay paint was not done very well so salvaging it was tough. Anyway, love it or hate it, I'm posting it! Watercolour - size 16"x23 1/2". Title: Lonely Tree amongst the Rocks.

The spring thaw can be spectacular as I found out driving along Highway 11.... a wall of icicles! Thus was the impetus for this painting "Ice Follies on Highway 11". Watercolour, 17" x 27".
