What a great day!!

Over 100 people form our community participated today. Plus another 20 AWH Summer Students volunteers and board members.

Special Invitees Minister Joanne Thompson, our MHA Fred Hutton and Councillor Wendy Squires-Ennis.

Some went on hikes long or short. Some enjoyed the Visitors Information Center (VIC). The VIC is done up like nan's kitchen with lots of heritage items and lots of Crafts and Art works from local Artists and crafters you can purchase. Some enjoyed a slide show of then and now pictuers of our community.
The Cove Creamery was there passing out their wonderful products for free ( it was purchased by a board member) Hot dogs of the beef or chicken or veggie kind and Chicken Burgers were prepared by cooks from Landings and donated by a board member. Then Cup Cakes, cookies and snowballs from Karen Stapleton.

We held the ceremonial flag raising of the new AWH Group flag and cut the cake that was made by the summer students. The cake was a replica of the site!!

Kids young and old painted rocks that will form our "pet rock" snake.

A visIt by Ms. Personality NL!

There were lots of our doggie friends and Relic the Newfoundland Dog.

A great day.

Thanks to the amazing team we have!
