CORRECTED!!

Another season has come to an end and we are already making plans for next year. Keep a watch on our website for updates.
We had a total of seven music events this summer including a fundraiser for the Port Rexton and area fire department. The fundraiser was packed and we managed to raise roughly $2400 on an admission by donation basis. This was very impressive so thanks to everyone who came, performers and audience.
We were very glad to welcome Monica Hookey to the Board of Directors. Monica is a permanent resident of English Harbour and will be a valuable asset for community liason for sure.
In other news, after 20+ years Kim Paddon is stepping down as chair of the organisation and Stephen Millar is assuming the position. Welcome Stephen.
That’s about it for 2026 and, as always we’d like to thank our loyal and supportive audience. We are already planning next year and hope to see you in the Harbour in 2027.

It's on again! Spread the word and we'll see you at the Lion's Club October 3rd.

Here's another great chance to help out the Port Rexton Area Fire Department as well as remember a really good guy.

Sheryl; "Have you cawlled everyone about tonight's show at English Harbour?"
Russell; "Yes and I'm cawtiously optimistic there'll be a good turnout."

Sheryl and Russell will be there and you know what good taste THEY have!

Des Walsh and Paul Dean will be coming up from Bonaventure. (It's all new pavement so they will probably go back and forth a few times before they come over.)
Dave Paddon will be here to join them and you're in for an evening of songs and poems from Des as well as truth or correctness from Paul and Dave. Would we lie to ye??
Doors at 7pm for a 730 start. $20. Tickets on at the door or at

NEW SHOW FOR AUGUST 28th!
These three are no strangers to the Bight and are all looking forward to a fine evening.
Des will play the music and sing some beautiful songs. It seems to me the church was purpose built for his voice. Paul and Dave will spin the yarns, all of which will be either true or correct.
Hope to see you there and shares are always appreciated.
Doors at 7pm with showtime at 730. $20.

Hi everyone. Dave Paddon here with a couple of announcements.
First the good news.
Last night's fundraiser for the Port Rexton Area Fire Department raised a total of $2346.40! This is just fantastic and a huge thanks goes out to performers as well as audience. Well done yourselves give yourselves a pat on the back! These concerts are a lot of fun and for sure we'll do another next summer.

Now the not so good news. Due to some sad personal circumstances for the performers we have to CANCEL the August 28 Sweet William show. I've been through the same thing and I completely understand. Hopefully we can re-schedule the show for next season.
I have refunded all Eventbrite tickets.
I am working on a replacement show. If it all works out I think you'll enjoy it so keep watching this spot. I'll be posting something soon I hope.

Now don't forget! This Saturday at 730 pm we'll have a good old concert featuring local talent singing, playing and telling stories. This photo shows one from about 10 years ago and it was standing room only at the back. All hands had a great evening.
The Port Rexton Area Fire Department is counting on us for funds for new communication gear so come on out to the Harbour. It's admission by donation with all funds to the firefighters.
Shares appreciated.
