Perhaps you’d like to paint a rock for the garden? Or try your hand at carving some wood?
Maybe you and the kids would like to try embroidery. Trying something new together is a great way to bond.

Happy long weekend, everyone.
THE FALL FAIR NEEDS JUDGES for next Friday evening (Sept. 5th) from just before 7 pm to about 9 pm at the Port McNeill arena. No experience required, all adults are welcome. You can help pick what category you are judging - arts, crafts, photos, baking (no, not everyone can judge the baking!), preserves, fruits and veggies ... There is no pay, but we will supply water and a few snacks to help sustain you through the evening.

CHILDREN'S DOG SHOW - 2 p.m. on Sunday at the Fall Fair in McNeill. Entry forms are attached, or you can pick them up at the two local pet stores and two local vet clinics. For children under 12 - bring your own dog, bring someone else's dog - it's all for fun!!

ONE MONTH TO GO - lots of time to get a booth organized! Raise money for your organization, make money for yourself, spread information, recruit staff ... so many things you can do with a booth at the fair! Booth rental forms are attached to this site, or send a PM or call 250-956-0452 and we'll send you one. Also available at libraries, visitor centres, hobby stores, Garden Barn, and more (see below). Lots of booth spaces left Where else can you have 1200 people go right past you looking at your space???
