Let us introduce you to our instructors:

Meet Kristian:
Kristian is our temporary Head Lifeguard and a familiar face at the pool. He oversees our wonderful lifeguard team, teaches swimming lessons and is always coming up with creative ideas to make the pool a fun and welcoming place for everyone.

Over the past year, Kristian has completed his Fitness Theory course and is now finishing his Aqua Fitness certification. His experience in aquatics, knowledge of the pool and enthusiasm for recreation will bring plenty of positive energy to his Aquafit classes!

Meet Bella:
Bella is new to the Port Hardy Recreation team, and we are delighted to welcome her! As a Pilates instructor who loves spending time outdoors and staying active, Bella brings a strong background in fitness, movement and wellness.

She is trained in both Pilates and Barre and will be completing her Aqua Fitness certification. Her fitness experience and passion for active living will make her a wonderful addition to our Aquafit program.

Kristian and Bella each bring their own experience, personality and teaching style to the pool. Whether you are a regular participant or interested in trying Aquafit for the first time, we invite you to join us this fall!

No worries, class will still run thanks to our professional video-led Aquafit class!

First day of Wild Island Challenge aka Survivor Camp has started!!! The next 3 days are going to be full of challenges, team work, idols and advantages and a lot of fun!!!

Ps. We have ONE camp left for the summer which is our Art Discovery Camp. There are a few spots left and registration closes this Thursday! Ages 8-13 | Tues - Fri | Aug 25-28 | 10 am - 2 pm | $90

We also have our free Public Swim every day from 1-2:30 pm!!

Did you know that during the Ice Out season our Facility Attendants work hard to do maintenance and upgrades to our pool, arena and civic centre?

Well done to Mike, Blake and Chris for making the floors shiny with a wax and new pickleball lines. It is a tedious process with stripping the lines and old wax, then putting on 6 new layers.
It’s looking sharp in the Civic Centre!

Due to the ongoing power outage, the pool will remain closed for the remainder of the day.

Sun | Aug 16

Even if the power is restored, the pool will need some time to get everything back up and running and to make sure the water is clean and ready for everyone to enjoy. Unfortunately, there won’t be enough time to do this before public or family swim today.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding while we work through the outage.
