We are proud to welcome and announce our Music Director for Annie, Felicia Wu Felicia’s musical journey began at the age of four with piano. She went on to study violin from the age of eight, performed with the Edmonton Youth Symphony Orchestra at 14, and reached RCM ARCT performance level in piano at just 13 years old. Her musical training also includes classical and operatic voice, as well as a lifelong background in music and performance.
For the past seven years, Felicia has taught music both internationally and in Canada, working with students, young musicians, and performers across a wide range of ages and abilities. Most recently, she served as Head of Secondary Music at a private British school in Doha, Qatar, before returning to Canada at the end of 2025.
Her musical theatre experience includes music direction and work on productions including Moana, Mean Girls, Heathers, Alice in Wonderland, Tweet!, Aladdin, and Mulan. She now teaches piano, violin, voice and early childhood music classes privately throughout the Niagara region through her studio, Joy of Sound Music.
Felicia also holds a Master’s degree from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas.
She is thrilled to be joining the Port Colborne Operatic Society creative team and returning to one of the areas of music she loves most—musical theatre.
