At the end of our stained glass workshop this weekend, we had one more surprise for our student. We introduced him to Kegel, our 500-ton hydraulic coining press.

Yes, she’s bright pink. Yes, she has glitter. And yes, she has her own pillow.

Since the workshop already included a little anatomy and art discussion, it seemed like the perfect time to also explain what Kegels are and why they matter.

After a safety briefing, our student got to run Kegel and strike a die we made just for FrogWerkz:
“I did Kegels at FrogWerkz.”

He’s turning the piece into a pendant so he can show off his accomplishment.

Not a bad way to spend a Sunday in Port Alberni — stained glass, a little education, and a 500-ton press.

Around here we believe learning new skills should be fun.

And sometimes it comes with glitter.

🍀 Real four-leaf clovers are ready for St. Patrick’s Day!
These have been collected and pressed and will be sealed into stained glass jewelry in this beginner workshop. If you’ve never tried stained glass before, this is a fun place to start — and you’ll leave with a little bit of luck.

YONI STAINED GLASS WORKSHOP

Ready to make something powerful to celebrate International Women's Day March 8?
Join me for a bold, body-positive stained glass workshop where we’ll create a yoni piece using one of the patterns shown (see images). This is art-forward, beginner-friendly, and unapologetically strong.

⏰ 10:00am – 3:30pm (30-minute lunch break)

🍴 Lunch provided by Munch’s Best at the Harbour Quay including a panini, cup of soup and an Italian ice or coffee.
You’ll learn stained glass fundamentals while creating a finished yoni piece that celebrates strength, awareness, and owning your space. No experience necessary — I’ll guide you through every step.

Choose from dark glass, one of 3 sandblasted patterns, or spicy conversation heart earrings (these aren't your safe word conversation hearts)! 2 sessions, max of 4 persons per session. Here is what we have been up to for…. Several months.
First we had to take a mold of the No 7 nose button. Then shrink it down. Then design and create the buckle model. Make a mold. Inject with wax. Invest. Burn out. And pour hot brass. Then finish.
