The Lakeshore Creative Stitchery Guild is a non-profit organization aimed at promoting and teaching the art of embroidery in the Montreal area. We are a group of about 80 stitchers with a passion for needlework in all its forms. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in embroidery, from novice to expert. We meet weekly on Thursdays and every other week on Tuesday evenings at Centre Noël Leg

ault (245 Lakeshore Road) in Pointe-Claire. We also hold monthly evening meetings, which take place at Stewart Hall (176 Lakeshore Road) in Pointe-Claire. The guild season begins in September and continues until May. A chapter of the Embroiderers' Association of Canada, the guild is run entirely by volunteers who plan and organize a program of activities that include classes in a wide range of embroidery techniques at beginner to advanced levels, needlework exhibitions, public demonstrations, all-day stitching get-togethers, and more.

La guilde des travaux à l'aiguille du Lakeshore est un organisme à but non lucratif visant à promouvoir et enseigner l'art de la broderie dans la région de Montréal. Nous sommes un groupe d'environ 80 amateurs de broderie sous toutes ses formes. L'adhésion est ouverte à toute personne ayant un intérêt dans les travaux à l'aiguille, du novice à l'expert. Nous nous réunissons chaque semaine, les jeudis et à tous les quinze jours le mardi soir au Centre Noël Legault (245 ch Bord du Lac) à Pointe-Claire. Nous organisons également des réunions mensuelles en soirée, qui ont lieu à Stewart Hall (176 ch Bord-du-Lac) à Pointe-Claire. La saison de guilde commence en septembre et se poursuit jusqu'en mai. Un chapitre de l'Embroiderers' Association of Canada, la guilde est entièrement gérée par des bénévoles qui planifient et organisent un programme d'activités diverses. Ce programme inclus des cours couvrant un large éventail de techniques de broderie allant du niveau débutant à avancé, des expositions de broderie, des rassemblements pour la broderie en groupe, une retraite annuelle, et plus encore.
