Bard on The Bandstand

Bard on the Bandstand is a free, community festival event in support of the local food bank, Friends in Need. It takes place on the bandstand in Memorial Peace Park in Maple Ridge and Spirit Square in Pitt Meadows. After so many successful years presenting Shakespeare to a live and appreciative audience, we are confident of its enduring value and enrichment to our community. Everyone attending the

event is asked to bring a nonperishable food donation for Friends in Need. This is a time of year when the stock on the shelves is low, but the need is still high. The event is family-friendly, free entertainment for everyone, but especially for those who can least afford to see live theatre. Central locations and our partnership with the Friends in Need food bank mean a lot of exposure for potential sponsors. Our sponsors can be very proud of the quality of work that Emerald Pig puts on stage and the values that we model in the community. As in past years, we strive to provide an alternative to unnecessary use of gasoline to leave our community in search of rewarding and entertaining events.
