deCoste Performing Arts Centre We are Northern Nova Scotia's Premier Presenter for the Arts. lang, Natalie MacMaster, Matt Anderson and many more.

The deCoste Centre of Arts & Creativity opened in 1982 with a fantastic performance by Rita MacNeil. Since then we have featured thousands of great performers from East Coast favourites to international headliners: Great Big Sea, Buffy Sainte Marie, k.d. The deCoste presents over 100 shows and events throughout the year. We host entertaining productions by local community theatre groups, celebrate

sold out recitals by local ballet schools and present musicians and bands working in and across genres from rock 'n' roll to folk, from classical to bluegrass. The deCoste also hosts live television and radio broadcasts--from local charity telethons to CBC radio tapings.

Roots, blues, and rock meet the rich storytelling traditions of the Mi’kmaq Nation in a special performance recognizing the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

We know Summer isn't quite over yet... but we can't keep the news to ourselves any longer!

the 52nd Annual Pictou County Christmas Fund Telethon will be held on Sunday, November 22nd from 1-6pm at deCoste Performing Arts Centre in Pictou!

It will also be broadcast live on Eastlink Community TV in Pictou County, and Emma Freckelton from 94.1 The Breeze will provide updates throughout the telethon on the station!

New this year- We will have a public call for artist submissions! Whether you have performed every year, or never have before but want to support, stay tuned for more information this week!

Please join us once again this year as we help support local families cover the cost of Christmas Dinner.

What a magical night at the 'Three Pianos' show with Kim Dunn, Doris Mason and Owen O'Sound Lee.. Owen earned a resounding standing ovation with his tribute to Dolly Parton and Whitney Houston, performing a touching rendition of 'I Will Always Love You'. It was a perfect ending to a memorable summer of shows.

This Thursday, 3 Pianos is back at the deCoste!

Join Kim Dunn, Owen “O’Sound” Lee, and Doris Mason for an evening of incredible musicianship, great songs, stories, and plenty of laughs.

These accomplished performers have built impressive careers both on their own and alongside artists including Rita MacNeil, Classified, and Denny Doherty. Together, their chemistry, songwriting, and talent at the piano have made 3 Pianos a much-loved annual favourite at the deCoste.
