While I'm finishing up some new work for my upcoming summer outdoor art fairs, I'm thinking back at my last art fair - The Artist Project Toronto - earlier this year in March. It's the biggest Canadian high-end art show for independent artists and my 2nd participation this year was a big success. All the great artists and collectors you meet, and the fact that for 4 days straight you just live and breath art at the fullest, that's what it's all about and where you get your reward for all the lonely hours in the studio.

Taking part in such an exhibition takes a bit of energy and financial resources but luckily we have amazing programs offered by our provincial arts councils. I would like to take this moment to acknowledge the funding support from the Ontario Arts Council, an agency of the Government of Ontario, through their exhibition assistance program. Thanks!

Merci !

The piece draws inspiration from the symbiotic relationships between species and the strength of ‘community’ found in the clustered growth of many organisms.

I’ve been taking a moment to reflect on everything from Artist Project, and I just feel incredibly grateful.

To everyone who came by my booth—whether we had a long conversation or you simply paused with the work for a few seconds—thank you! Your curiosity, your questions, and the way you connected with the pieces meant more to me than I can really put into words.

There’s something special about sharing work in person and getting to witness how it resonates, lingers, or sparks something unexpected.

A heartfelt thank you to for creating such a supportive and inspiring space for artists—it truly makes a difference.

If a piece stayed with you after you left, I’d love to hear from you. Feel free to DM me for available works or commissions.

A heartfelt thank you to the jury for selecting my work for the exhibition and the award. This came as a nice surprise!

Wabi-sabi is rooted in the Japanese philosophy of finding beauty in what is aged, unfinished, and a little rough around the edges.

I'm on my way to Toronto to install three pieces for the upcoming exhibition "To Gather".

The exhibition is curated by Leah Morgan Small. She's a student in the Criticism and Curatorial Practice program at OCADU. "To Gather" is her theses exhibition.

"To Gather" explores work from contemporary artists Andreas Krätschmer, kat estacio, Elysse Cloma, Dale Bazar, RO, and Tania Love.
Taking place March 18th-22nd 2026 at OCAD University's Graduate Gallery, it invites viewers to engage critically with material presence and acts of gathering. Within the artistic process of collecting organic or found material, artists are engaging in human-nature relationships. The relationships bring together the fleeting experiences of matter, exploring the ways in which material culture engages in connection with the local and environmental consciousness.

Gallery hours:
Wednesday-Sunday, 1-6pm
Address:
OCAD University's Graduate Gallery.
205 Richmond St, Toronto.

There is an opening reception on Friday, March 20th, from 7-9pm.
For scheduling reasons I won't be able to attend the opening myself, but you should go! :-)
