👋 SAY HELLO TO SOBIA — THE ARTIST BEHIND CONFIDENT KIDS 🎨✨
If you’re new here, hello! I’m Sobia — a fine artist, educator, parent, small business owner, and founder of SBC Art Retreats. 💛
My journey has been shaped by over 8 years of teaching and working with children in Canada, with a special focus on Montessori-inspired learning, alongside more than 8 years of growing as a fine artist and building my own creative business.
But one of my biggest inspirations has come from being a parent.
I see how much screens have become part of our children’s everyday lives. Technology has its place, but I believe children also need opportunities to put the screens down, work with their hands, slow down, explore and create something of their own. 👐🎨
There’s something special about watching a child mix colours, make choices, try something new — and then step back and say:
“I made this!” 🌟
That’s what inspired me to create our Confident Kids Art Experience.
It’s not about creating a perfect painting.
It’s about creating a space where children can:
🎨 Express themselves
👐 Work with their hands
🌱 Discover their strengths
💛 Make their own choices
✨ Celebrate what makes them unique
🌟 Build confidence — one brushstroke at a time
Because the painting may come home…
but hopefully, the confidence does too. 💛
