We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Javad Ganji, who was killed during the January 2026 protests in Iran.
Javad Ganji was a remarkably talented and promising filmmaker. His film(REMEMBER) was officially selected for the HECARE Film Festival in 2025, and his artistic voice had already begun to leave a meaningful mark. His untimely passing is a profound loss to the Iranian and global filmmaking communities.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues, and we wish them patience, strength, and peace during this difficult time.

In honor of his work and memory, the film by the late Javad Ganji will be screened at the 2026 HECARE Film Festival. Further details regarding the screening will be announced in due course.
