As we wrap up another busy four days at the Westmorland County Agricultural Fair, I can’t help but reflect on just how true the saying “it takes a community” really is. Looking back on this past weekend, it’s clear that our fair is successful because of the incredible people who come together to make it happen. Judging by the comments and feedback we’ve received, many are calling this one of the best fairs we’ve had in a long time.
First and foremost, thank you to all of our spectators who joined us throughout the weekend. You endured everything from rain and chilly temperatures to sunshine and summer heat. While the weather may have dampened the grounds, it certainly didn’t dampen the spirit of our fair.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to all of our exhibitors and competitors who put on outstanding shows. Whether you competed in the Lumbersport Competition, Draft Horse Show, 4-H events, Light Horse Gymkhana, Farmers Olympics, or any of the many other activities throughout the weekend, your hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship are what make our fair such a special event.
To our Board of Directors and countless volunteers—thank you. The days were long, the work was demanding, and there were plenty of challenges along the way. Your dedication before, during, and after the fair is what keeps this event running, and I couldn’t be more proud to work alongside such an incredible team.
To our sponsors, thank you for believing in our fair and our community. Your generosity and continued support make it possible for us to provide quality events and experiences for everyone who attends.
Finally, thank you to everyone who visited, participated, volunteered, sponsored, or supported the Westmorland County Agricultural Fair in any way. Your support ensures that this long-standing tradition continues to grow for generations to come.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you all. We’ll see you again next year!
