St. James Players

St. James Players St James Players is a not-for-profit, volunteer community theatre group based in Peterborough, Ontario. Presents two plays a year, in the spring and fall.

St James Players is a community group dedicated to theatre and music. The autumn show is aimed to please the whole community while the spring show is aimed to please younger folks while displaying the talents of the younger members of the group. Interested persons are invited to audition to join the group. In addition, St James Players presents a bursary annually to recognize an outstanding junior

member of the St. James alumni. Must be a student in a Peterborough area secondary institution. Bursary is to support the student's continued study in theater or music.

What an incredible 3 days of auditions for our fall show "Cinderella ". The panel was blown away with the talent! We want to thank everyone for taking the time to prepare and present to us. It was a lovely few days. Keep an eye out for a cast announcement soon!

St James Player's is so honoured to present 2 incredible performers with our Post Secondary Scholarship - Miriam Clysdale and Zoe Shufelt. These two wonderful people have given their time, love and energy to the Players and we are so excited to watch what they will accomplish in their future.
We are so pleased to be able to offer a yearly post secondary scholarships each year - thank you for supporting the Arts so we can support each other.

We put one show to rest and start to prepare for our next! Audition sign up is now open for our November production "Cinderella - Broadway Version" 💙✨️

The show will run November 13th-21st at Showplace - Directed by Natalie Dorsett, Music Direction by Justin Hiscox and Choreography by Melissa Earle. Casting requirements are aged 13 plus as of September 2026.
It will be a magically good time!

Auditions:
Sunday May 24th 12pm-4pm,
Monday May 25th 630pm-930pm
Wednesday May 27th 630pm-930pm.
Where: St James Church 221 Romaine St

Thank you PTBO for your support! A SOLD OUT RUN for "The Addams Family". So much love, time and energy goes into every one of our shows, but the spring shows are a little extra special knowing the show is all youth performers. The talent this city has in our youth is extraordinary. Thank you cast and crew for sharing your talents with us.
