Night Four, the closing night of Highly Likely 2026 showcased compelling and innovative work by local sculptor Garret Gilbart, Labrynth Ontario’s Fragmented Forms, Montreal composer Markus Floats, DIY legend Wax Mannequin, and writer/translator Claire Foster. A beautiful night showcasing beautiful work of rare depth between the stacks. Thanks to these performers and to our lovely audience for filling the room and greeting them with such warmth. Thanks for your support in 2026! We will see you next year!

Night Three of Highly Likely 2026 brought melancholy and delight to new heights with deep performances from NEWBERRY + Burs, and readings by Jessica Westhead, Erica Richmond, Kayleigh Michon, and Avery Brown, all part of the GASP volume 2 launch. An amazing night in east city; Dave Tough was there, say no more. Thanks to these performers and to our lovely audience for filling the room and greeting them with such warmth.

The return of our free matinee for children and families on day three off Highly Likely 2026 made clear that this tradition will not be going anywhere. As you can see, parents loved it too! This year featured presentations + performances from legendary local illustrator Brooklin Stormie, and another visit to our earthly dimension from the cosmic realms of past and future by King Spatula and his Rubber Band! Thanks to these performers for travelling to PTBO from far and wide, and to our lovely audience for filling the room and greeting them with such warmth.

Night Two of Highly Likely 2026 launched our first ever all ages basement punk show and it kicked ass with performances from Saline, Backseat Dragon, and local headliners hitNrun, as well as an unforgettable reading by Niko Stratis, and our guy Purdon minting the killer vibe all night behind the decks. Not unlike the days of PRBO yore, and the first of many nights like this to come in east city. Thanks to these performers for travelling to PTBO from far and wide, and to our lovely audience for filling the room and greeting them with such warmth.

From the team behind Highly Likely Festival of Music and Literature - THANK YOU đź’š

Our second year was an overwhelming success. Thank you to all of the artists, writers, singers, musicians, and performers who contributed their phenomenal talents to this magical time. Thank you to all the members of our community who came out, supported, and affirmed this project with your love and enthusiasm. Thanks to the for their financial support.

Most importantly, thank you to our incredible team of staff and volunteers who made this weekend run as smoothly as a paragraph expertly translated from the original French. Our aim this year was to better support our performers with a more robust team and we have been amazed by the outcomes of this collective effort. To our community partners, programming committee, event volunteers, and technical, administrative, and production staff - THANK YOU. Many of those folks are pictured here, some crucial ones are not. We really, really, really like you.

We will absolutely be back next year.

Photo by our friend - lots of events photos will be shared in the coming weeks.

ARTIST PROFILE: KAY SILVER

is an indie rock singer-songwriter based in Peterborough, Ontario, whose music defies easy categorization, weaving together decades of sound into something uniquely her own. With a voice that is both haunting and tender, Silver creates songs that feel suspended in time—dreamy, nostalgic, and uplifting.

At the heart of Kay Silver’s songwriting is a deep love of melody, shaped in part by her Celtic roots and the timeless tunes passed down through generations. The result is music that feels warm, familiar, and emotionally resonant—like a forgotten B-side rediscovered, carrying echoes of the past while firmly living in the present.

We are thrilled to bring Kay Silver back for another MT performance. She wowed last summer performing solo, and will appear this time with her full band - only their second show after their debut at

ARTIST PROFILE: aniqa dear

is the stage moniker of Toronto-based musician, performer, recording artist, music educator, and overall strange-person, Aniqa Qadir. Influenced by the music of her youth immigrating to Canada (a potent mixture of Bollywood, Arabic pop music, Billie, Ella, and the dazzling, ubiquitous pop icons of the 90’s and early 2000’s), the music she’d studied (RCM, jazz, world musics, free improvisation, avant-garde, etc.), and Western pop, her sound is art-pop redefined.

We are so excited to host this incredible musician and performer at our Holiday Party, December 27th at along with

Photos by our friend from last weekend’s 3 year anniversary party. The party was a blast with performances from our friends Mumblethief Moon and Mas Aya - for the very first time we presented music in the store’s basement. Thanks to everybody who came out and celebrated this milestone for the store.

Miracle Territory would be an entirely different operation if it weren’t for Take Cover - the space and venue - and Sean and Andrew (the people). MT started with the concept to present music and art in unconventional, accessible, non-bar establishments in Ptbo/Nogo and immediately thereafter I befriended these guys as a regular in their store and we’ve since co-presented over a dozen exciting and successful events. It’s been a match made in heaven - the shop has been a perfect venue for events this size and I’m grateful that the boys have become close friends and trusted creative co-conspirators. What luck what blessings. Aside from our partnership, I love the store and am thrilled to watch it succeed in east city. Here’s to many many more.

ARTIST PROFILE: MUMBLETHIEF MOON

The Mumblethief Moon is a small planetoid initially formed by the collision of two smaller celestial bodies, one from Poland (), and one from Alaska (). Now in orbit around Peterborough/Nogojiwanong, it is the primary source of moon rock’n’roll in the region.

Catch your favourite moon rockers this Saturday for the shop’s three year anniversary. 7 pm $25 or PWYC all ages
