We thought it was a pretty routine maintenance job.

One dead tree. One removal notice. Monday morning. Problem solved.

Apparently, the tree disagrees.

Someone found this carved into the trunk shortly after the notice went up.

“I’D LIKE TO SEE YOU TRY.”

Nobody on the Morning Star Manor team is taking responsibility for it.

The tree removal crew has been notified.

Whether they actually show up is another question.

Something tells us this particular tree isn’t going anywhere quietly.

September 1st has arrived, and around here, that means one thing — Halloween season has officially begun.

Over the next few weeks, you may notice some familiar faces beginning to make their return to the grounds of Morning Star Manor. One by one, the residents will emerge from wherever they’ve been hiding since last Halloween, and the Manor will slowly begin to come back to life.

There’s a lot of work — and a few surprises — still to come. We’re aiming to have Morning Star Manor fully up and running by the third week of September, with plenty of teasers, resident sightings and reveals along the way.

Until then, keep an eye on the Manor.

Something in the woods around Morning Star Manor hasn’t moved in a very long time.

At least… we thought it hadn’t.

Lately, visitors have reported hearing branches snapping when there’s no wind. Strange markings have appeared on the trees. And every morning, we seem to find a few more bones scattered along the edge of the property.

Last night, someone swore they saw one of the trees looking back at them.

Whatever has been standing guard over these woods is beginning to wake up.

And judging by the sound of things…

he’s in a rotten mood.

The scratching beneath the Manor has stopped.

Unfortunately, we now know why.

Meet Toxic Tess, the newest resident of Morning Star Manor.

For weeks, we’ve been finding strange webs around the property, unexplained glowing residue, and catching some very unsettling shadows on our security cameras.

It turns out Tess had simply been making herself at home.

With eight legs, a toxic temperament, and absolutely no understanding of personal space, she’s officially claimed a corner of the Manor as her own.

So when you visit Morning Star Manor this season, keep an eye on the webs above you.

If you see Tess first, you’ll probably be fine.

We got a motion alert from one of the cameras last night.

3:17 AM. North Drive.

At first, we couldn’t see anything unusual.

Then we noticed the shadows.

Whatever triggered the camera was standing just outside the frame… and judging by the size of those shadows, we’re not particularly interested in finding out how big it actually is.

The strangest part?

This morning, the camera was covered in webbing.

Something new is moving around Morning Star Manor after dark.

And we don’t think it plans on leaving.

Something strange has been stirring beneath Morning Star Manor.

At first, we blamed the noises on the old pipes. Then came the scratching. The webs. And that strange green glow appearing after dark.

Whatever has made its home beneath the Manor seems to be getting a little too comfortable.

And lately… the scratching has been getting closer.

MEET OUR NEW RESIDENT — OLD MURK

For weeks, something has been stirring beneath the dark waters surrounding Morning Star Manor.

Now we finally know its name.

Meet Old Murk.

No one knows exactly how long he’s been down there. Some say he was lurking beneath the surface long before the Manor ever stood. Others say the less you know about Old Murk, the better.

What we do know is that something disturbed his slumber… and he’s finally crawled out of the bog.

With a temper as foul as the water he calls home, Old Murk isn’t particularly fond of visitors. So when you make your way through Morning Star Manor this fall, watch where you step.

The water has been unusually still lately.

Too still.

But last night, something changed.

The old dock was found damaged. Strange tracks disappeared into the mud. And more than one person swears they saw something moving just beneath the surface.

Whatever has been hiding in the forgotten bog has finally started to stir.

THE KING HAS AWAKENED.

For thousands of years, he lay undisturbed beneath the sands—forgotten by time and sealed away where no living soul was meant to find him.

Until now.

Something has disturbed his eternal slumber, and an ancient ruler has found a new kingdom within the grounds of Morning Star Manor.

Meet Pharaoh.

Standing more than 11 feet tall, Pharaoh towers over all who dare approach. His tomb may be long gone, but the King has not forgotten how to deal with those foolish enough to enter his domain.

His eyes are open.

His wrappings are stirring.

And after thousands of years of silence, Pharaoh is waiting.

This September, those who enter Morning Star Manor will have a choice when they find themselves standing before the King:
