🦁🎭 “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King!” 🎭🦁

Get ready for an unforgettable adventure as Disney’s The Lion King comes to life on the Gladstone Theatre stage in not just one—but two magical summer workshops for young people!

Join Simba, Rafiki, Nala, Timon, Pumbaa, and the rest of the Pride Lands crew in this inspiring coming-of-age musical, filled with unforgettable songs like Hakuna Matata, He Lives in You, and I Just Can’t Wait to Be King.

Participants (ages 7–16) will explore acting, singing, movement, mask-making, and puppetry while working with stunning costumes and creations by Donna Bourgeault of Sunny Shenanigans. This is a hands-on, high-energy, confidence-building experience your young performer won’t want to miss!

📅 Two Sessions Available:

🦁 Workshop 1: July 7–11, 2025
🦁 Workshop 2: July 28–August 1, 2025

🕘 Time: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Monday–Friday)

**Teen Intensive** (Ages 13–17): **August 4 – 8, 2025**
Our 28th annual teen show is designed for students ready to push their skills and work at a pre-professional level. Whether you're Broadway-bound or just ready to shine, this is the place to be.

🎭✨ Broadway is coming to Perth! ✨🎭

This summer, the Academy of Musical Theatre is bringing the spotlight to downtown Perth, Ontario with our exciting Stuart Park Festival Broadway Workshop! Kids and teens will spend the week diving into their favourite Broadway hits—learning songs, choreography, and scenes, all leading up to a high-energy live performance during the Stewart Park Festival!

Whether your child is new to the stage or already loves to perform, this workshop is all about building confidence, having fun, and sharing the joy of musical theatre with our amazing community. It’s the perfect blend of summer fun and showbiz sparkle—right in the heart of beautiful Perth!
