I learned the hard way that it's nearly impossible to sew together 5 point flowers.. I probably should have made 6 point flowers. That would have been the sensible option. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

Also most of the videos I found join them as they go, who would've known how easy it could be. πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

I ended up asking Gemini AI what the best way was to sew the flowers together to make a poncho... Which really helped! I was suggested to sew the flowers in a honeycomb pattern using a darning needle. Making two panels of 6 by 12 (72 flowers each side) then sewing the two panels together in a 'L' shape. πŸ‘

After getting the first 7 flowers nearly put together, I've realized that I now have a 6 point flower, but it's a lot bigger than I would have wanted them to be. I can either make them to this point and then sew all the flowers together or do it the Gemini AI way.. πŸ€”

This project is proving to be the challenge I was looking for.. the question really is, do I want to make this more of a challenge? πŸ˜…

Went thrifting the other day with my Husband and kids.. found myself a jar of buttons! πŸ™Œ

Now I have buttons to go onto my crocheting projects. πŸ€—βœ¨

While it was fun practicing knitting, I decided on a new crochet project!.. πŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯

It's a poncho with a flowery pattern I created on my own.. I'm not sure if it will be lacey or not but we will see as I go.

Since I decided to make the flowers individually and stitch them together afterwards, I'll have to make at least 144 flowers. 😳 (So far I have 21.. only 123 to go!)

Fingers crossed this works out! I'm hoping to wear it when the nice spring weather comes back. πŸ˜…πŸ€ž

I've been taking a break from making any projects lately. Instead, I have been practicing knitting. I've just been kitting, not pearling, I'll practice that after I get better with the knit stitch. πŸ˜…

It seems I start off with the tension being too tight, but after about 5 rows the tension seems to be a bit looser. Also, when I'm casting off it is extremely tight. It's amazing how important tension is when crafting.. it can make or break a project! 🧢✨

I decided to make a dress for my daughter. It only took me a few days. It was a bit of a challenge, but easy for the most part.

The challenge: I was nearly done a day sooner, but I noticed a mistake. I frogged back to row 18 from row 24 (I had to go to row 25 to finish). I could have done it a day sooner if I didn't make this mistake.

I would definitely make another dress, maybe with a more intriguing design. Also, I think I'd use a baby soft yarn.

All that matters is she loves it! 🩷

Tote bag is complete! βœ¨πŸ‘

I learned a couple new crocheting techniques from making this bag. First, I learned that you can crochet in the bar of the chain stitch. That's to make the first row on the bottom of the bag. ⛓️‍πŸ’₯ 🧢

I also learned how to do a stacked single crochet, which I never heard of before. This is why I like challenging myself, I get to learn new things. πŸ€“

I really like the look of this bag, especially with the pretty flowers in the centre that I added.🌼

I'm not sure what to do with this, but I'm intrigued.. I'm looking forward to working on a canvas again. πŸ€” πŸ–ΌοΈ πŸ–ŒοΈ

Following a period of contemplation, I determined that my next crochet project would be a tote bag. It's a bit of a challenge, but I can do this! πŸ‘

In order to enhance the appearance, I created multiple flowers as embellishments to be added after the tote bag is completed. 🌸😍

Upon having trouble finding stitch markers, I found one and then improvised by using a necklace as the second marker! Whatever works, right? πŸ˜…
