The man. The myth. The chute boss himself, Kyle Daines.

We mic’d him up for the BRC Bull Riding and the edit took on a life of its own.

At last night's performance at the Daines Ranch Pro Rodeo, 2024 Canadian Professional Rodeo Association Ba****ck Champion Kody Lamb, spent some time with one of our Golden Circle Young Champions.

14 year old Cohen, is from the Red Deer and Sylvan Lake area, loves hockey, baseball, and spending time with family and friends.

Earlier this year, Cohen was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a form of bone cancer that has also spread to his lungs.

Since February, Cohen has undergone intensive chemotherapy and major surgery, including the replacement of his tibia with a titanium implant and reconstruction of his knee.

Through it all, Cohen has shown incredible courage and resilience. His family calls him a true warrior—facing each day with strength, positivity, and heart.

As a rodeo community, we are proud to have the chance to support Cohen and his family through their journey.

When we say cowboys are tough, we mean TOUGH 💥 Jack Lees taking a hit from 828 Devils Girl and walking it off last night.

More than an 8 second ride: a long term committment this rodeo season to honour children and their families affected by cancer & other terminal illnesses.

We cannot thank you enough Miss Rodeo Canada Abbey Harty for representing rodeo the way you do, and stepping in to add extra sparkle at our "Golden Rodeo" events.
