Tickets are on sale now for "Sea to Seas: Strong and Free," a concert presented by the Pender Island Community Choir, this June 27 and 28, 2026, at the Pender Islands Community Hall.

We warmly invite you to join us in a musical celebration of Canada and its artistry. Directed by Bruce McConchie and accompanied by Eileen Deros, this concert promises to take audiences on an eclectic journey from coast to coast.

We look forward to sharing some gorgeous choral arrangements of music by artists from across the country, including familiar favourites like Gordon Lightfoot, Oscar Peterson, and Stompin’ Tom Connors.

Did you know... our choir is currently made up of over thirty-five Pender community members: from decade-long members to first-timers. We rehearse once a week for about 3 months leading up to our concerts. If you are curious about singing with us, our next session will be this fall! You can find us in the Pender Post, and on Facebook or Instagram for updates.

🎵🍁 The choir is back and rehearsals are underway for our concert in late June, Sea to Seas: Strong and Free. This season we are preparing to perform songs by artists from coast to coast as a celebration of Canada and Canadian music.

On Thursday March 12th we will be hosting registration, as well as an information session with director Bruce McConchie to learn about the music and choir. Interested new members are warmly invited to join us to learn more. All skills are welcome and no auditioning is required.

Registration and Info Session:
🗓️ Thursday, March 12
⏰ 7-8pm
📍 Pender Island Community Hall

Choir rehearsals:
🗓️ Wednesdays starting March 18
⏰ 6-8pm
📍 Community Hall
🎟️ Registration fee: $100

Participants must pay for registration by March 20.

If you cannot attend the registration event, registration will also be available at our first rehearsal, and you can also pay via e-transfer to [email protected].

For e-transfers, please include your full name, email, and phone number in the notes.

If the fee increase is a financial difficulty, please email us, as we don't want the fee to be a barrier to participation.

Our Spring session starts this month! If you have ever considered joining (or rejoining!) the choir now is a great time. This season we will be rehearsing and performing "Sea to Seas: Strong and Free" which will feature music from coast to coast.

Looking back on the fabulous time we had sharing our concert, 'Twas the Night Before Christmas! Thank you to everyone who came out to make this seasonal concert so much fun.

We have a Spring Session coming this March - stay tuned for more details. We warmly welcome new members of all experience levels to join us in the great joy of singing together!

🍗🥓🍖 🎶The Pender Island Choir warmly invites the community to attend our upcoming fundraiser at the Legion Hall on Saturday, February 7th.

Proceeds from the meat draw (over and above legion costs) are key to supporting the choir's spring session costs. We also have donated items from the community to sweeten the pot, so come on out for some fun, join the draw, and support choral music on Pender.

Please stay tuned for information on how to register to sing in our Spring Season.

Community Choir is more than singing together — it’s connection, creativity, and shared joy. As we look ahead to our Spring session and beyond, we’d love to gather and imagine the future together.
