Fresh off the bench this morning a custom chef’s knife crafted from 440C stainless steel with a black G10 carbon fibre handle and blue G10 pins. Designed for excellent balance, comfort, and reliable kitchen performance. I’m pretty happy with how this knife came together.

Finished up another knife making class with a student today using a deer antler shed they found on a hiking trip. The blade was hand forged from 1095 high carbon steel and paired with a copper bolster finished with an oxide patina.

This was a fun project to help build and resulted in a truly one of a kind knife with a personal story behind it. To make it even more unique, the student’s signature was added to the blade using a laser engraving machine.

Finished up a custom EDC knife commission this morning. The blade is made from 440C stainless steel with a hollow ground edge. The handle is crafted from stabilized dyed green maple burl and paired with green G10 pins to tie it all together. This was a fun little project to work on.

Finished up this forged fish key holder today. It can also be used for coats, hats, or anything else you want to hang up. The fish is cut from 1/8” steel plate, with hook forged from 1/4” steel rod and attached using 1/4” polished copper rivet. Finished with a coat of beeswax to help protect the steel and bring out the character of the metal.

Sneak peek at the pattern on a Damascus chef’s knife I’m working on. The blade is hand forged from 1095 and 15N20 steel with roughly 200 layers, giving it a bold flowing ladder pattern throughout.

This one will be available for sale once finished. Since the handle hasn’t been made yet, if anyone is interested in purchasing this knife you can choose the handle material and style to make it their own. Feel free to reach out if interested.
