MANDATE *

The Peachland Community Arts Council, as a non-profit and charitable organization,
has given a mandate to a Gallery Committee regarding the "Peachland Art Gallery"
in the Mary Smith Hall, in the renovated and unique Peachland Historic School on Peachland's waterfront,

- to work towards providing a dedicated art-related, artist-volunteer-run, community space for the presenting, performi

ng, and educating of all art forms to the public

MISSION

The overall art-related objectives are:

- to showcase the work of local and regional artists
- to expose and inform the public, regarding art in all its facets,
both contemporary and historical
- to provide learning experiences, for young and old, both in artistic expression and
in art appreciation
- to provide a forum for cultural expression through art, for all groups, ethnic and social. VISION *

The long range concepts of the Peachland Art Gallery in the "Mary Smith Hall", are:

- to promote the recognition, enjoyment, and participation of
all art forms, ie literary, performing, visual
- to contribute to the cultural heritage, life and economy of the Okanagan region,
especially with the various publics of Peachland
- to work in partnership with the Municipality, schools, service clubs, businesses, and other
arts- related and supportive organizations
- to raise funds internally, ie PCAC membership, events, projects, and activities
- to seek external grant resources from corporations and foundations

Farmhouse Kitchen Collective coming to the June Talent Night!!

Debi Johnson - Vocals, Harp, Accordian, Piano. Lorraine Helgerson - Vocals, Bodhran. Kate Gibson-Oswald - Vocals, Harp, Recorder. Ross McRae - Violin, Button Accordian, Concertina, Guitar, Tin Whistles. Rob Corbett - Vocals, Guitar, Mandolin.

This eclectic group of friends had been performing with various other artists and group's for many years. When the opportunity finally arrived during a chance gathering at a Kitchen Jam Session last year, the decision was made to get together on a regular basis, and see what kind of musical magic could be produced.
Having honed their musical skill and passion, at a variety of venues over the past three or four decades i.e. ( fund raisers, folk clubs-outdoor festivals, and house concerts etc.) it was a perfect and timely fit for each of the members of this ensemble.

Our Space Talent Showcase!!

FRAGMENTS OF HAPPINESS! Special Event at Peachland Art Gallery
Please join us at the Peachland Art Gallery on Saturday, May 30th, drop-in from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM for "Fragments of Happiness" Artist Carney Oudendag

We are excited to host artist Carney Oudendag, who will be demonstrating her creative process and discussing her fascinating artwork currently on display in our beautiful "DWELL" exhibition.

This event includes a hands-on activity where you can create your own small collage or greeting card. All supplies, including papers and glue, are kindly provided by the artist at no cost.

We hope to see you for a fragment of happiness during your art gallery visit. The gallery is at 5684 Beach Ave at Our SPACE cultural center on the lake.
