What I loved about these appointments was how specific their point of view was. Both wanted their liner to begin a little further into the middle of the eye rather than extending all the way toward the tear duct ā€” a subtle detail that gave both designs their own distinctive feel.

I always love when appointments turn into a bit of a family event. One person is in my room, the other heads out to explore, shop, grab lunchā€¦ and then comes back to share what they found and what they got up to while they were waiting. It makes for such a fun day.

And knowing they travelled nearly two hours to spend it with me makes it that much more special. šŸ¤

šŸ©·This incredible client was generous enough to share a little of her story in hopes that it might help someone else.

As she prepares for another round of chemotherapy and the likelihood of losing her hair, she decided to be proactive and have her eyebrows tattooed beforehand. During chemo in the past, losing her brows meant having to pencil them in at a time when she already had more than enough to deal with.

With enough time for the skin to heal before treatment begins, cosmetic tattooing can sometimes be done before chemotherapy. In situations like this, we only have time for the first session. The touch-up can wait until treatment is complete and her body is ready for it.

For now, she has beautifully defined brows in place, giving her one less thing to think about as she moves through treatment.

My goal has never been to dramatically change someoneā€™s face. Itā€™s to enhance what was already there.

In this case, refining her brows brought more balance to her features, created a subtle sense of lift through the eye area, and allowed her beautiful eyes to become the focal point.

This is the power of cosmetic tattooing. A few carefully considered millimetres can change the way your features relate to one another, creating greater harmony without changing what makes you uniquely you.

It was a pleasure spending the afternoon with my client for her ar**la touch-up session. We intentionally build colour, dimension, and realism over two appointments, allowing the first session to fully heal before adding the next layer of detail. This staged approach creates a softer, more natural result while giving us the opportunity to refine the colour and enhance the three-dimensional illusion.

The ar**las shown here are tattooed on completely flat skin. Any texture or 3D realism you see is an optical illusion created entirely with pigment.

Restorative tattooing is one of the most rewarding parts of my work. It combines technical precision, colour theory, and artistry to help restore what has been lost in a way that is uniquely tailored to each individual.

Six months ago, this appointment went into the calendar.šŸ“…

After a 12-hour drive and ferry ride from Trail, BC, we finally made it happen.

She shared that she wanted ā€œhappy-lookingā€ brows and eyes.

I loved the way she described it.

To me, it wasnā€™t about changing how she lookedā€”it was about enhancing what was already there and bringing out that inner joy.

We spent the day chatting, laughing, and creating. By the end of the appointment, she left with a look that felt more like herā€”bright, confident, and full of life.

Thank you for making the journey and trusting me with your brows and eyeliner.

And as a bonusā€¦ Trail, BC just gained its own little Flamingo. šŸ¦©
