We had a wonderful concert on May 1st in front of an enthusiastic audience! Our Director Lonnie Moddle and Pianist Andrea Lahmer had us at peak performance level. And we donated $2,400 to Oceanside Hospice Society on behalf of all the supporters who bought concert tickets this past year!

The Choristers will sing for you on Friday, May 1st, and we are all about LOVE and NATURE this spring. Because we love to sing, Yo Vivo Cantando will bring the energy to the room; a pair of old standards, Sh-Boom and Dream a Little Dream bring the love; and Connie Kaldor’s Wood River and Sourwood Mountain are the polar opposites for nature 😂

The Choristers enjoyed sponsoring a highly successful Paperboys concert on February 28th! A packed house moved and grooved to the amazing mix of salsa, Celtic, zydeco, and country they heard.

Next, we are on at full speed preparing for our own spring concert, “Love… Naturally!” scheduled for Friday, May 1st 7:00 PM at Knox United Church in Parksville. The “love” part of the program includes classic oldies like “Sh-Boom” while the “Natural” theme is exemplified by Connie Kaldor’s “Wood River”. You’ll have a great time with us! 🎶 Sing with The Choristers!! 🎶

No experience? No problem! If you live in Craig Bay and like to sing (even if your singing experience is so confined to the shower 🚿) you are welcome tojoin!

Our fall session gets underway this Tuesday, September 2nd, from 1:00-3:30pm in the Conservatory. Regular rehearsals follow on each Tuesday thereafter from 1:30-3:30pm and we wind up the year with our Winter Concert at Knox on Saturday, December 6th at 2:30pm.
This first day back from our summer hiatus we’ll get our sheet music; have a go at a few songs and enjoy a coffee break and goodies at half time…it’s the perfect chance to ask any questions!
Sit amongst the Choristers and join in or just observe from the sidelines. If you’re unsure as to whether you would sing bass or tenor, soprano or alto, our Director, Lonnie, can help with that. We’d make sure you are paired with a buddy in your section, who can offer help if needed. We want you to enjoy the experience as much as we do!
Our first few rehearsals are always open with no strings attached. If you’ve ever thought about joining or perhaps rejoining after a personal hiatus, why not do it now? We’d love to have you!
