Thank you to our PPT community and our for a fun and fab 2025 season; we're looking forward to 2026 and sharing more news and opportunities soon!
In the meantime, we want to take a moment to reflect on our top 10 memories and moments of 2025...
1. It is so great to get back to the PPT Drama Club and we can't thank enough Madison Kohli-Certo - our head of kids stuff - for making this happen every month in 2025!
2. We were part of Paris' first ever, roving Murder Mystery in Downtown Paris, Ontario 'Murder For Hiram' thank you to our head writer Heather Marie Ashby and all the incredible actors and volunteers who made this event possible!
3. We were part of an international participatory, youth theatre event called Positive Stories For Negative Times with Wonder Fools and performed in the Lions Park amphitheatre; it was amazing to be one of the many groups performing these original scripts around the world.
4. Our PPT Drama Camp returned with a short and sweet day camp (yes, the two week Drama Camp will return this year, starting July 6th, more soon) and it was so fun to create masks and characters, and to present them to our friends and family.
5. PPT members were part of the Saturdays In Paris 'Travelling Trivia Game' with botanical characters delivering delightful improvised scenes and serving as pop-up trivia hosts!
6. Paris Performers' Members supported Riverside Reading Festival with the Downtown Paris Story Path, featuring performers doing costumed dramatic readings of key Canadian literature to guide attendees between the two venues.
7. We were honoured to be a part of Ontario Culture Days 2025, with support from County of Brant, where we presented a revamped reprise of 'Careful What You Wish For' a kids play about magic, art history and doing the right thing!
8. A little less fabulous but very importantly, there was a big tidy and organisation of our costume room at St Paul's United Church Paris Ontario and we have a new contract and process for folks borrowing from us.
9. Christmas time saw Paris Performers' Theatre presenting a festive double bill featuring the kids of the PPT Drama Club in The Mayor Who Banned Christmas, along with a production of It's A Wonderful Life: A Radio Play; thank you again to everyone who participated, attended and supported.
10. We've made a bunch of exciting plans for 2026: PPT Kids Drama Club will be back monthly, we have some cool fundraisers coming up and there will be chances for YOU to make theatre with support from Paris Performers' Theatre; more soon...
Thank you again and cheers to 2026!
