A Fractured Fairy Tale in One Act
An original play by Rubyyy Jones which has nine ish roles available for dynamic youth between the ages of 9 and 18! Interested folks will fill out an application as the casting, roles will be assigned after our first rehearsal; Rubyyy Jones will also direct and choreograph the show and run all rehearsals.
Rehearsals will happen on Fridays in downtown Paris at St Paul’s United Church and they will run from 5 PM to 630 PM weekly from Friday March 20th; there will also be three Wednesday rehearsals later in the process, dates TBD. The shows will be performed on Friday June 5th, Saturday June 6th, and Sunday June 7th at St Paul’s United Church; we are in discussions to do some school shows and events at retirement homes, this will be a maximum of two week days and will be decided, with parents in the conversation, later in the process!
The youth involved in this production will all perform and they will also support our team with set, props and costume. There is a small cost for participation of $20 per week for rehearsals (total $200) - $15/per kid if there are siblings - and this can be paid weekly, upon sign up or we are happy to discuss payment options and your budget; please email [email protected] to apply for this performance opportunity, we’re happy to answer any questions about participation, the details, the performances, monies and more.
Big Cityyy Arts is so excited to present this original theatrical show written and directed by Rubyyy Jones, a mash up of fairy tale worlds and characters telling an electric tale through storytelling, movement and comedy; Rubyyy Jones is an industry professional who has performed around the world and on London’s West End in various productions.
