Notice to Residents – Missing Traffic Signs
The Town has become aware that several traffic signs have gone missing over the past few weeks. We want to remind residents that traffic signs are installed to protect the safety of motorists, pedestrians, cyclists, and emergency responders. When signs are removed, damaged, or stolen, it creates a serious public safety risk and can contribute to accidents and injuries.
Replacing missing signs also comes at a significant cost to taxpayers. The cost of a replacement sign includes not only the sign itself, but also the labour, equipment, and materials required for installation.
Residents should also be aware that removing, damaging, or stealing traffic signs is a criminal offence and may result in criminal charges, fines, and liability for any damages or incidents that occur as a result of the missing sign.
If anyone has information regarding the missing signs, please contact the Town Office. If you have removed a sign, we ask that it be returned immediately, no questions asked. Signs can be left at the Town Office or arrangements can be made for their return.
We appreciate the community's cooperation in helping keep our streets safe and reducing unnecessary costs to taxpayers

🚧 Bow Valley Park Playground Remains CLOSED Until Further Notice 🚧

The rubber safety surfacing crew has arrived and has officially started their work.

Installation of the rubber surfacing is expected to take approximately three days, followed by a required curing period. The playground will remain closed until Friday, June 26, to allow the surface to properly set and cure.

⚠️ Please stay completely off the playground and rubber surfacing area during this time.

We noticed that children were using the playground structure last week despite the closure notices. While we understand the excitement, it is extremely important that everyone respects the closure.

Walking, biking, running, or playing on the rubber surface during installation or the curing process can permanently damage it, resulting in costly repairs and delays to the project timeline.

📢 We will announce on Facebook and Voyent as soon as the playground is officially open and ready for everyone to enjoy.

Thank you for your patience, cooperation, and support as we complete this exciting project for our community!

To the individual(s) who recently dumped this tree stump on Town property, please return and remove it immediately.

Town crews have been busy all week with cleanup efforts following the storm. Dumping a tree stump on Town property only adds to their workload and takes valuable time away from other important maintenance and service duties. Illegal dumping creates unnecessary cleanup costs and work for our community.

The special pickup offer for branches was intended to assist residents with storm-related debris and was not intended for the pickup of whole trees or trees that have been cut down or trimmed back by property owners.

Thank you to the many residents who have used the branch pickup offer as intended and who continue to help keep our community clean and respectful for everyone.
