What an experience!

The first Where Are the Fathers: The Fatherhood & Legacy Summit brought together fathers, mentors, community leaders, families, speakers, volunteers, and partners for a day of reflection, connection, and practical conversations around fatherhood, leadership, health, relationships, and legacy.

What happened in the room was bigger than we expected...

There were honest conversations, community was built, and men showed up for themselves, their families, and the next generation.

We’re honored to welcome Montreal-born poet Neil Okpiabhele, also known as Neiloquent, to open the Fatherhood & Legacy Summit on June 6 at SAW Gallery.

Drawing from personal experience and a bilingual literary background, Neil’s work explores identity, absence, healing, memory, and the impact people leave on our lives. He’ll be opening the summit with a reflective spoken word performance centered around fatherhood, growth, and the people who help shape who we become.

His work carries both honesty and hope, setting the tone for a day focused on meaningful conversation, leadership, and generational impact.

Myriam is a Registered Psychotherapist and founder of Thoughtful Therapist, a bilingual mental health platform focused on accessibility, healing, and community impact. We’re excited to welcome Matthew Pulickal to Where Are The Fathers: The Fatherhood & Legacy Summit.

As the founder of Ottawa Physiotherapy & Sport Clinics, Matthew brings decades of experience in rehabilitation, exercise physiology, performance, and recovery. His work has supported athletes and teams across the NHL, CFL, Pan Am Games, FIFA competitions, and national championships.

But beyond sport, his work centers on something many men struggle with quietly:
stress, burnout, physical strain, and the long-term impact of carrying pressure without proper support.
