French house artist Kavinsky has died, aged 50.
The producer, real name Vincent Belorgey, was found dead at his home in Paris, police confirmed today.
"An inquiry into the cause of death has been opened to determine the circumstances, as first responders found no suspicious elements at the scene," they said.
Inspired by the French house scene of the 2000s, Kavinsky's productions spanned synthwave to electropop, collaborating with the likes of Daft Punk's Guy-Manuel and The Weeknd.
His 2010 track 'Nightcall' shot him to global success, landing a feature in American drama film Drive. In 2024, following his return to music after a hiatus, Kavinsky performed at the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games in Paris.
