Bonjour, ***Annonce franco plus bas ⬇️
W**e Class has some exciting news to share!
After being asked time and time again… I’m finally inviting you to travel with me! 🍷✈️
Starting in March 2027, W**e Class will be adding a brand-new experience: small-group journeys centered around w**e, gastronomy, and authentic local discoveries.
And for our very first destination, I’m taking you somewhere very special to me: Mendoza, Argentina, to experience Vendimia!
Over the past few years, I’ve had the opportunity to travel to Argentina and experience this incredible harvest celebration in the heart of Malbec country. In March 2027, I’ve decided to recreate that experience for you and invite you to discover Argentina my way.
The journey will include Mendoza and its vineyards, the Vendimia festivities, a night among the vines, w**e tastings, incredible dining and culinary experiences, followed by a few days in Buenos Aires. All of this in a small group and, of course, accompanied by your sommelier!
You’ll find the poster and a preview of the itinerary attached.
Space will be limited. If this adventure sounds like something you’d love to be part of and you’d like to receive pricing, details, and information on how to reserve your spot, simply reply to this email.
For this first adventure, I’m also delighted to be working with Isabelle Ouellette from Voyages de luxe abordables in Rockland — whom I also highly recommend for any of your other travel needs.
You will be invited to book your flights, travel insurance, and transportation services directly with Isabelle. She will be there to guide you and make sure your travel arrangements suit your individual preferences and needs.
I truly can’t wait to share this new chapter of W**e Class with you and, most of all, to introduce you to a destination I absolutely love.
See you in Argentina? 🍷🇦🇷

Santa Carolina Reserva Chardonnay

Celebrating 150 years

Santa Carolina was founded in 1875, making it one of the country's most historic w**eries. It was named by founder Luis Pereira in honour of his wife, Carolina Iñiguez. The original cellars in Santiago are so historically significant that they were declared a National Historic Monument of Chile. Few w**eries can say their cellar is literally a piece of national heritage!

Santa Carolina helped put Chile on the international w**e map when one of its w**es won a gold medal at the 1889 Exposition Universelle in Paris, one of the first major international recognitions for a Chilean w**e.

This Chardonnay is a great exemple of what they do and can be found at the LCBO for only 14$.

Fabre Montmayou Reserva Malbec 2022

This is the kind of w**e that shows up a little late to the barbecue but instantly becomes everyone’s favorite guest. Rich and velvety, it reveals generous aromas of ripe cherries, blackberries, blueberries, and dark fruits, complemented by delicate notes of violet, sweet spices, vanilla, mocha, and freshly brewed coffee, all inherited from its aging in oak barrels.

On the palate, it is full-bodied and silky, with juicy dark fruit flavors wrapped in smooth tannins and a touch of chocolate that lingers pleasantly on the finish. Imagine a handful of perfectly ripe berries dipped in dark chocolate and sprinkled with baking spices. Indulgent and generous, this Malbec manages to be both comforting and elegant.

Available at the LCBO for $19.95.

Sungarden Grüner Veltliner

Austria Delivers Again

The Sungarden Grüner Veltliner is like a sunny afternoon captured in a glass: bright, fresh, and simply irresistible. Bursting with notes of zesty lemon, crisp green apple, and juicy pear, it dances across the palate with lively energy, supported by refreshing citrus freshness and a playful touch of the signature white pepper character that Grüner Veltliner is known for. Delicate hints of fresh herbs and a wet stone minerality add depth and complexity, making every sip feel like a stroll through a blooming garden after a gentle spring rain. Crisp, vibrant, and wonderfully versatile at the table, it’s the kind of w**e that turns an ordinary moment into a small celebration.

Even better, it’s currently on sale at the LCBO for just $11.75.

San Pedro 1865 Selected Vineyards Las Lagunas Carmenère 2023

This Chilean Carmenère is rich, smooth, and easy to enjoy, with the classic herbal character the grape is known for.

Aromas:

• Blackberry and ripe plum

• Dark cherry and bramble fruit

• Green pepper and fresh herbs

• Black pepper, spice, and a touch of dill

• Hints of vanilla, cocoa, and light chocolate from oak aging

The palate is medium- to full-bodied with soft tannins and a smooth texture. You’ll notice a savory, earthy edge alongside the ripe fruit, finishing with gentle spice and herbal freshness.

Food pairings:

• Grilled steak

• Lamb

• Smoky barbecue

I found this gem in the Vintages section of my LCBO for $20.95.

Collavini Single Vineyard Signature Collection Friuli Pinot Grigio 2024

Here are some interesting Pinot Grigio facts:

• Pinot Grigio and Pinot Gris are the same grape, “Grigio” is Italian, while “Gris” is French.

• The grape is actually a mutation of Pinot Noir, which explains why the skins can sometimes appear grayish-pink.

• Italian Pinot Grigio is usually fresh, crisp, and citrus-driven, while French Pinot Gris tends to be richer, fuller, and more aromatic.

• Some premium Pinot Grigio producers use skin contact during fermentation, creating copper-colored “ramato” w**es — a traditional style from Friuli.

• High-quality Pinot Grigio often has more texture and minerality than people expect, and the best examples can age beautifully for several years.

This Friuli Pinot Grigio is a great example of a more serious, terroir-driven style compared to the light and simple versions many people are familiar with.

It just arrived at your local LCBO and sells for $16.95.
