I get immense pleasure out of capturing faces and landscapes (real or imagined), and sometimes allowing the paint itself to dictate the shapes and patterns that take hold on the canvas. My renewed connection with art has transformed me. Brought me back to my roots, so to speak. I owe a great deal to my art teacher, Susan Ashbrook, for easing me into acrylic painting.
