I began painting abstract acrylics in the spring of 2020 as a way to pass the time during the pandemic lockdowns. Without any formal training, I have worked at developing my own unique style of abstract expressionism. Many of my pieces incorporate intricate detailing which have captured the interest of a growing public audience. I live in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada with my wife, Marian, an emerging watercolour artist, and our cat, Miss Em, who oversees the day to day routines of our household.

I am participating in the 2026 Run for the Cure in Ottawa on October 4. I am running in support of my sister-in-law, Marilyn Zind, who was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. She has just begun her battle to beat back this dreaded disease. Early detection and state-of-the-art treatments make it possible for women like Marilyn to make it through the fight and emerge on the other side to enjoy many more years of life.

As part of my fundraising campaign, I am holding a silent auction with all proceeds going to support Run for the Cure. I am offering “Life in the Desert 10” for the auction. The opening bid starts at $150. If you would like to bid, please send me your information using Facebook Messenger. The Run for the Cure takes place on October 4. I will announce the winning bid on October 3.
