A high school friend told her boyfriend some time ago that he should ask me to make her engagement ring - and he understood the assignment to a T. As a self-employed jeweller, there is honestly no greater honor than an old friend asking you to make their forever piece. I am beyond grateful to have made this ring for this couple, and have been sooooo impatient for him to pop the question!

Oh and yes, it’s a 2-carat lab-grown pear-shaped diamond with 20 small diamonds set on the twisted 14k yellow gold band. 🔥

The process of a making a custom ring with 14k gold and a cushion sapphire! I’ve always categorized my “style” as classic with a twist, and this is pretty much literally that!

I had to make this ring twice (oops) so the video snippets might not be in order 🤦🏽‍♀️ Jewellers who are content creators, how do you keep your content organized for it to make sense? 😅

In short, the process involves melting the metal, making a wire, hammering the wire and shaping it, soldering the prong setting to the band, cleaning and pre-polishing, setting the stone, (start over from the beginning in this case 🤦🏽‍♀️😭) and then polishing for the final touch! 🥳🤩
