Hi friends! Thank you for still following me here at Ghoul’s Night In throughout my hiatus 🙏 Here’s a little update for those interested:

I’m now making things over at .secondhand 💥🧨

I started .secondhand as a curated secondhand kinda thing with weird and fun pieces that I’ve found in the area all brought together in one place. But something was still missing for me. And then a lightbulb went off in my head and I realized I had already been upcycling tee shirts into tote bags…so why not continue upcycling other things from the thrift stores as well? 💡 AND it’s waaaayyy easier on my hands! like…duh!

So this is what I’ve been up to! 🙋🏻‍♀️Upcycling tee shirts, denim, and other materials I find that are in good condition. I still have some straight up secondhand pieces as well because sometimes I find things that are just too good to cut up 👌

👻HAPPY CREEPY SEASON👻

It’s Oct 1! The entire month is Halloween! 👻🎃☠️🍭🍬

Obviously it’s the month I base my entire personality off of, and I couldn’t be more excited! I👏AM👏LIVING👏

Throughout October I always like to rewatch my favourite seasonal flicks. Friday the 13th, Texas Chainsaw, Halloween (the OG, Rob Zombie’s remake, and the 2019 follow up - all of them) Idle Hands, Halloween 3: Season of the Witch (I’ll die on this hill), Scream and Re-Animator are some of the flicks I’ll be rewatching this month!☠️

The words “thank you” don’t even BEGIN to cover the amount of appreciation I have for everyone who came out yesterday! Once again Oshawa, 👏YOU👏SHOWED👏UP👏

Thank you to Oshawa Tourism for planning this event and asking Punk Rock Flea Market Oshawa to be a part of it!🤘

Thank you to my rad & amazing co-conspirator Mel at Drop Dead Candles for being so great and working together to solve problems FAST (like so fast) and for constantly reminding me that everything is okay 👌 even better than ok!

Thank you to all of the INCREDIBLE vendors for coming out, some as far as Montreal!🤯 I can’t thank you all enough for being so adaptable and bringing a constant positive attitude! The amount of talent we had on the street yesterday was absolutely mind blowing! It is so incredible to be a part of such an amazing community 🥰 special shoutouts to Jewlya Lives xninexlivesx & for showing up early and lending extra hands! 🖤 and to & for being absolute joys to hang out with all day!🖤 and to my sister for running my table while I got food (even though I gave you the wrong password to my phone🤣)

And the biggest thank you to every single person that came out to say what’s up!! I am so grateful to every friend, family member & community member who showed up yesterday. Your support means the world! ✨It truly showed that Oshawa has an amazing community of people who love to support art, music & local businesses! I hope everyone had an amazing day and was able to take in every part of Convergence Fest!⚡️🤘

It’s happening!!! Tomorrow PUNK ROCK FLEA MARKET OSHAWA @ CONVERGENCE FEST will be taking over Ontario St downtown Oshawa with over 50 vendors 😱🤘 it’s going to be a PARTY!!!

Plus, King St is going to be packed with music, art, food, wrestling, circus arts, nerd culture and SO MUCH MORE!! Check out Convergence Music & Art Festival 2023 for more info! ✨

Getting ready for this sweet little piece popped up in my memories! This was a special request from a pal who cares for/raises chickens! I thought this request for a punk rock rooster was SO silly, I had to make it happen. And every time I see this piece I have a good chuckle 🤘😂 Thank you for this hilarious memory Christy! 🖤

Sept 23, Punk Rock Flea Market Oshawa will be taking over Ontario St in downtown Oshawa as part of Convergence Fest! There’s going to be music and art and food! What more could you want?!

On another note, this will be the ONE and ONLY pop up that I’ll be taking part in as Ghoul’s Night In this year. I’ve been working super hard to get a rad collection of stitched pieces together, and this is going to be your only chance to come snag one before I go back into my gremlin hole for the rest of the year 👻

✨Years ago a friend of mine started watching Bob’s Burgers and told me I had to start watching it because there was a character named Louise who my friend thought I would really relate to. So I started watching Bob’s Burgers, and although Louise is just 👌 excellent, I immediately related WAY more to Tina! It sometimes feels Tina was written after my teenage self - just a sensitive, zombie loving, kinda boy crazy, total weirdo 🤣🤓

I recently got to the later seasons of Bob’s Burgers and watched this Blade Runner inspired episode and it just hit me right in the feels. I love Tina’s confidence in who she is and her boldness to do and wear whatever the heck she wants!

So here’s to Tina! May we all be like her and embrace our inner weirdness and be bold enough to march to the beat of our own drum 🤘🖤✨

🐒TEN YEARS!!

Can you believe it’s been 10 years to the day since little Darwin strolled into IKEA in his little shearling coat and stole all of our hearts?!🤯 A whole decade! WOW!!

Darwin is now living at a monkey sanctuary in Sunderland, Ontario where he’s spending his days hanging out with his monkey pals. Check out my stories for a link to an update about our pal Darwin!✨
