Sad news,, Opera Pops Plus Broadway have just been informed that our application to perform during the Oshawa Concerts in the Park series was not accepted by the Recreation and Cultural Services Committee, which is headed by Director Jim Naumowski. We can only hope that our 2020 application will receive positive results.

Sad news, Opera Pops plus Broadway have just been informed that our application to perform this summer at the McLaughlin Bandshell during the Oshawa Concerts in the Park series was not accepted by the Recreation and Cultural Services Committee which is headed by Director Jim Naumovski.

Each week there is a new concert at Memorial Park which showcase all different styles of music. This week's show was labelled Opera Pops Plus and featured many local artists honing their singing skills. The park was completely filled with Opera fans of all ages which shows how popular this style of music is.

Opera Pops Plus is the creation of Lorna Brain, international opera singer and local singing teacher. Ms. Brain formed the group to showcase local artists and share her love of Opera and Broadway music.

Opera Pops Plus is based in the Durham Region, as are the majority of its performers, however on occasion have the pleasure of working with guest artists from Toronto and beyond.

Our Concerts in the Park series continues on Tuesday July 3rd with Opera Pops Plus and Thursday July 5th with country band Punch Douglas.
