Look what’s back up at the Port! ⛵️
The sails are such a colourful addition to this space and are well loved by our locals and our visitors. (3 sails were cracked last summer … they are 15 years old after all!) So don’t worry if you see 3 boats with no sails! We are in the process od making new ones.

The Streets Alive family has lost a dear friend. Tom Johnstone came on board in 2010 to help us launch our first sculpture project: Guitars On Parade! He enthusiastically embraced the idea of 50 giant guitars to help celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Mariposa Folk Festival. Tom was a connector of people, ideas and music. He helped to coordinate getting the musicians at the festival to sign 3 acoustic guitars that were gifted to us by our promotional partner: Larrivée Guitars. He was the perfect liaison between the Folk Festival and the public art on display Downtown. Tom had great energy, a wonderful sense of humour and a beautiful spirit. He will be missed by so many of us. ❤️
