On Saturday, September 19th from 12 PM to 2 PM, we’ll be welcoming Holly Ann Friesen to the gallery for a Meet the Artist event! ✨

A nationally recognized Canadian artist based in Kenora, Ontario, Holly brings a unique perspective to the Canadian landscape, transforming familiar places through abstraction, negative space, and unexpected perspectives.

This is a special opportunity to meet Holly in person here in Orillia, hear about her process and inspiration, and experience her work up close in the gallery.

Behold “Lake Ontario Shoreline” by Julia Veenstra! 🌊

We know this popular shoreline has been making headlines lately and so we wanted to feature it and all its beauty.

The name Ontario comes from an Iroquoian word understood to mean “beautiful lake,” making the title feel especially fitting for this celebration of its shoreline.
