A Goodbye Like This Is Never Easy.
Today, we’re thinking of our friends at Lacombe City Cinemas and everyone who helped make that theatre such an important part of the community.
Independent theatres are so much more than a place to watch a movie. They are gathering places where communities come together for family nights, birthdays, first dates, special events, laughter, memories and everything in between. They are local businesses with local people behind them, and they play an important role in keeping our communities connected.
From all of us at Mayfair Theatre, we want to send our heartfelt best wishes to the entire Lacombe team. We understand how much heart, work and dedication goes into keeping an independent theatre going.
Their goodbye is also a reminder of just how important it is to support your local independent theatre.
And to everyone who has supported Mayfair Cinema throughout the years, bought a ticket, grabbed some popcorn, rented our theatre, brought your family, celebrated a birthday or simply walked through our doors, thank you. Your support is what keeps independent theatres like ours here.
We’re proud to be part of the Alberta theatre community, and we’ll continue doing everything we can to keep the lights on, the popcorn popping and the movies playing.
Because a theatre isn’t just a building. It’s a part of the community.
