In partnership with Alberta Ballet, the Indigenous Sport Council of Alberta is excited to offer a beginner dance program for Indigenous youth ages 7-12 in Red Deer!

The program runs weekly and consists of 30 minutes of ballet and 30 minutes of powwow. Indigenous youth will have the opportunity to learn both styles of dance while incorporating cultural connection and creative expression.

Start Date: October 23rd, 2026
Final Date: November 27th, 2026
Duration: 6 Weeks
Location: YMCA Red Deer, 6391 76 St, Red Deer, AB T4P 3E9
Age Groups: 7 - 9, 10 - 12
Times
7 - 9: 5:00 - 6:15 PM
10 - 12: 6:30 - 7:45 PM
Cost: $30 per participant

What an exciting milestone! Last night marked our first monthly Moccasin House meeting in our new home at the Olds Moccasin House Friendship Centre. We were also honored to have John and Suzanne Sinclair with us to smudge our space and gift us with prayers. We're looking forward to opening to the public in the coming weeks.
