Bottle Tree Productions Theatre practitioners, playwriting, coaching, producers of plays, musicals, events and festivals. Former company in residence at The Grand Theatre.

Offering acting classes at St.Andrew's Presbyterian Church. Our class roster includes classes for children and teens, and occasionally adults, as well as audition class, musical theatre class, and workshops with other professional actors, and artists. Our performances take place in various venues, such as The Grand Theatre, L'Octave theatre, St. Andrew's Church, The Village Playhouse, and others across the province. MEET THE PRODUCER & DESIGNER OF THE DEATH OF ME: Anne Marie Mortensen

Anne Marie Mortensen is thrilled to support Bill Morrow’s vision for Norm Foster’s The Death of Me and thoroughly enjoys collaborating with this talented cast and director. Alongside her teaching practice, Anne Marie is a multi-faceted theatre artist who writes plays, designs lighting, sound, and costumes, and frequently sits in the director’s chair.

Most recently, she stage-managed two productions during The County Stage Company’s repertory season. A familiar and active face in the regional performance community, Anne Marie has served as site manager for events such as Hydra and The Skeleton Park Arts Festival. She also works as a Production Supervisor at the Kingston Grand Theatre. She warmly welcomes you to “her little studio” and invites you to return for more wonderful performances throughout the season!

MEET THE DIRECTOR OF THE DEATH OF ME: William Morrow.
William Morrow has been on stage in Kingston more than a few times (recently for Domino Theatre: 10 Lost Years, Over the River and the Through the Woods, The Auditions; for Tiresias Theatre: Icara). But this is his first time as a director. He says he couldn’t have asked for a better cast or better support from Bottletree. They made sure it wouldn’t be “the death of me.” On the contrary, it’s been fun and invigorating.

MEET THE ACTORS FROM THE DEATH OF ME
Martin Fobert (John)
Martin Fobert has been entertaining Kingston audiences for over 15 years, whether they’ve asked him to or not. Most recently seen in Domino Theatre’s Witness for the Prosecution, Martin is happy to be returning to the stage with his friends at Bottle Tree Productions. Having performed in dramas, comedies and the occasional dinner theatre, he’s no stranger to making a scene. He’s thrilled to be playing John Adderly in The Death of Me, although he’s beginning to question the title.

Harold Potter (Doctor)
Harold is thrilled and excited to be cast in his first Bottletree production. Previous plays on his resumé include Bench In The Sun, Wait Until Dark, Peer Gynt and The Importance Of Being Earnest. He would like to acknowledge the efforts of the cast, crew and, of course, our director for making the experience fun, enjoyable and entertaining. And don’t forget: Sick....schmick! MEET THE ACTORS FROM THE DEATH OF ME
Jennifer Verardi (Cassie)
Jennifer is a local actor, poet and songwriter. She has most recently been seen on stage at the 2025 Kingston Fringe Festival as “Leah” in Madness Lies by Chloë Whitehorn. Some of her most recent credits include: “Dressing Amelia” by Chloë Whitehorn with BottleTree; “Without Whom” by R.J. Downey at the Kingston Fringe Festival; “Goodnight Desdemona (Good Morning Juliet)” by Ann-Marie MacDonald with King’s Town Players; “The Stranger” by R.J. Downes at the EODL Festival; “Educating Rita” by W***y Russel at Lennox County; “One Night Stand” by Carol Bolt at Domino Theatre. She is so grateful and thankful to be able to work with such a talented and dedicated cast, crew and director on a classic Canadian play about the philosophy of human fate.
