It will soon be the anniversary of the birth of FridKIDS. In the fall of 2017 I decided to form a production company that would explore the canon of children's classical literature , and that I would adapt and design and direct these productions. In the spring of 2018, our first production, SECRET GARDEN, was mounted on the Dundas Little Theatre stage. With the help of the exemplary Luke Bremer, I found myself with access to an SM, ASM and Lighting Designer, and after 2 short weeks, with 8 hour day rehearsals, 6 days a week, there we were. Trevor McConnell did me the great service of taking these pictures below and I cherish the memory of working with the stalwart cast and crew that managed this miracle. "Life began in a garden...didn't it?"
